My Priorities
HOUSING
The new Housing law will fund 65,000 new homes in Massachusetts, and I'll work to ensure our district receives its fair share and more.
The skyrocketing costs of buying a house or affording rent are placing an unsustainable burden on my hardworking neighbors in the district. I am committed to addressing this issue.
I will take decisive action to solve the housing affordability problem, driven by a commitment to work honest and work hard for you.
EDUCATION
I believe every child in our district should have equal access to a high-quality public education, regardless of where they live or their parents' income.
I am committed to working honesty and working hard to secure education funding for our district, ensuring it receives the same support as Metro Boston schools.
From day one, I will prioritize the needs of students, parents, and teachers in Southbridge. I’ll partner with the state on a plan to transition our schools out of receivership.
INFRASTRUCTURE
I will work honest and work hard to secure more than our share of Chapter 90 public roads funding for our district because reliable infrastructure ensures we can get to work, school, and home on time.
As a construction worker, I understand the vital role of union construction jobs in our district and the importance of rebuilding our roads to protect our families and save residents from costly vehicle repairs.
Investing in infrastructure is crucial for our community; we must repair roads, bridges, and housing foundations, while also preserving our parks, forests, and trails to meet the needs of our residents.
- Be there for every town in the district; spending time in all places across the district getting to know each community’s common and unique challenges.
- Be a rural advocate in the statehouse for our central and western region to gain more support from Boston lawmakers for state funding necessary to address needs for the broader part of the state outside the Boston area.
- Make decisions that consider the needs of all individuals, families and businesses to better serve those who are vulnerable or marginalized, including people living with disabilities, veterans and seniors.
- Support the needs of struggling municipalities that need more state aid, including Chapter 90 funds for infrastructure needs and Chapter 70 funding for schools.
- Be a highly ethical elected official responsive to the needs of all communities and constituents I represent.
